Welcome to Sinéad Carthy Wellbeing, a space dedicated to helping people reconnect with themselves through breath, cacao, grounding practices, and seasonal living.

My name is Sinéad Carthy, and I live in Kingscourt, Co. Cavan with my husband and our daughter. Becoming a mother has deepened my appreciation for balance, presence, and the connection between body, mind, and emotional wellbeing.
For over a decade, my professional life has centred around financial services, where I worked closely with individuals and families to improve financial literacy and confidence. Throughout those years, one belief consistently stood out for me: information is empowering. I witnessed firsthand how financial stress, security, and self-worth are deeply intertwined with overall wellbeing. This understanding planted a seed for my holistic journey – one that supports people not just practically, but energetically and emotionally.
Alongside my professional career, I have always had a strong spiritual awareness and a calling to connect with people on a deep level. This inner pull led me to qualify as a breathwork facilitator, opening the door to practices that support nervous system regulation and emotional release. Yet even then, I felt called to deepen my learning by studying a therapy that has been part of my life since childhood: reflexology (study in progress).
I offer gentle yet powerful experiences that help release stress, reconnect with the body, and restore balance. My work is grounded in the rhythms of nature and the belief that true wellbeing begins when we slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with our roots.
My work began from a personal journey of learning how powerful it is to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the body. Like many, I experienced periods of overwhelm, disconnection, and the pressure to keep going without stopping to nourish myself. Breathwork and holistic therapies opened a new path for me – one of self-awareness, grounding, and healing. Now I support others to find that same sense of reconnection.
My approach is gentle, supportive, and grounded in the natural cycles of life. I create spaces where women can slow down, breathe deeply, and feel supported in their own growth and healing.
MotherRoots Philosophy
The MotherRoots approach is based on the idea that wellbeing begins at the root.
Just like trees need strong roots to grow, we also need a strong foundation in our bodies, our emotions, and our sense of self. MotherRoots practices help my clients:
• Feel grounded and safe in their bodies
• Release stress and stored tension
• Build self-worth and confidence
• Reconnect with their inner wisdom
• Move through life’s seasons with greater ease
Through breath, touch, and community, we nurture the roots that allow us to grow.
